Busy, buzzing streets, gigantic skyscrapers and simple everyday moments alternate in fine balance in the frames. During the shoot we deliberately avoided the classic tourist clichés: instead of ticking off the must-see sights, we hunted for the real atmosphere of the two metropolises. Through the camera New York almost shouts and pulses, while Washington grips the viewer with its dignified calm and authority.
